Troyan is a part of the National march and cross “In the footsteps of  Vasil Levski”, which takes place every year on 19th of February.

It strats  from the memorial plaque, put  in the place of the inn of Vassil Spasov, in which Vasil Levski founded the Troyan Revolutionary Committee in 1871 (“Vasil Spasov” Street). The final is at the entrance of the Troyan monastery, where the abbot and the monks usually talk about Levski and the participation of the monks in the revolutionary committee. The winners from the cross are awarded there.
